Licensing Education

Those wishing to manage a condominium in Ontario require a licence.  The Condominium Management Regulatory Authority of Ontario (CMRAO) oversees licensing and sets the educational and training requirements that must be met. Licensing Continuing Education

Effective July 1, 2023, the CMRAO requires General License holders to complete 10 hours of approved continuing education annually in order to renew and maintain their license. The list of approved Continuing Professional Education (CPE) activities and associated CPE credits for each can be found on the CMRAO website here. Following completion of the activity, license holders record their CPE credits through the reporting portal by logging into their CMRAO account.

ACMO Is Your One-Stop Location for CPE Credits

ACMO educational programming (luncheon seminars, webinars, Advanced Certificate Courses, Condo Conference sessions, etc.) are submitted to the CMRAO for approval and accreditation under their CPE program.  ACMO’s webinars and in-person luncheons have been approved by the CMRAO for 1 CPE credit, and our Advanced Certificate Courses have been approved for 5 CPE credits which is half the annual requirement in one course!

To assist the CMRAO and our RCM members in tracking CPE credits, ACMO will send the CMRAO confirmed attendee lists following each of our approved continuing education activities.  

ACMO members are encouraged to regularly check ACMO’s Event Calendar for upcoming educational events approved for CMRAO CPE credits as well as the CMRAO’s website list of approved CPE educational activities.
