RCM Exam - Pursue a Higher Standard

The RCM exam is only available to those who have successfully completed ACMO’s four condominium management courses approved for licensing, or the course Challenge Exams, prior to October 31st, 2022.  Note this ‘traditional’ pathway to achieving your RCM by taking the RCM exam option will only be available until April 2024.

Once you have successfully completed the four ACMO college courses (or Challenge Exams), you are eligible to write the comprehensive RCM exam.  To pass the exam, you must achieve a mark of 75%. Your exam results will be held on file with ACMO, and once you have met the RCM work experience requirements, you may apply for your RCM Designation.

To write the RCM exam, you must be an Individual Member in good standing of ACMO (if you are not a member, please complete the Individual Membership Application and submit it with your payment).

The RCM examination is a 3.5-hour-long closed-book exam that is written and proctored online. The exam has been prepared by experts in the field of Condominium Management and is designed to ensure that Condominium Property Managers in Ontario are fully qualified professionals with broad expertise and knowledge in this field. The exam focuses on the following four areas: Condominium Law, Financial Planning, Physical Building Management and Administration and Human Relations. 2023 Fees

The fee for taking the RCM is $285 +HST.  If you fail in your first attempt at the RCM exam, you may retake the exam twice, but full exam fees will apply for each retake.

PLEASE NOTE:  It takes up to 4 weeks to process and mark RCM exams. Exam marks will be emailed once available.
